**Note: Since this is an unpaid Fall internship, and we understand the competing demands of coursework and other life responsibilities, we will ask for no more than 10 hours per week of your time! Please also note that this position is able to be completed fully remotely!**
The graphic design intern will help broadcast our message of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” to a wider audience by working closely with the social media, photo/video production, and copywriting interns to create appealing, catchy, and attention-grabbing visuals to accompany our content. Great print materials showcasing our work will make it that much easier for more NYers to experience the magic of filling a community fridge!
Deliverables you’ll be creating:
-Volunteer recruitment postcards and flyers
-Signage for live events
-Infographics showing our impact
-Social media posts
-Electronic and real flyers
-T-shirts and merchandise (buttons, bumper stickers, magnets, etc.)
-Highly skilled graphic designer able to make the designs listed above
-Familiarity with Canva (we have a pro account!) or owner of your own design software
-Creative and flexible approach to problem-solving
-Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high energy culture
-Self-starter capable of working with little to no supervision
-Creative thinker who is passionate about fighting the battle against food insecurity
-A portfolio of work samples is a plus!
