As the Madison Senior Center Outreach and Marketing Specialist you will work to reach Madison’s underserved older adults by providing information and education about the principles of successful aging and how engagement in healthy aging activities and events at Madison Senior Center support independence in aging.
This is administrative and professional work in the development and implementation of educational presentations, activities and events. The role involves working closely with the Program Coordinator in the development of marketing materials for the Madison Senior Center. Under the general supervision of the Senior Center & Senior Services Manager, the Outreach and Marketing Specialist works closely with Madison Senior Center team members to design and produce educational presentations, public information, social media and internal communications materials, activities and events for the Madison Senior Center specifically focused on reaching Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQ+ and low income older adults.
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in gerontology, social work, human services, psychology, sociology, event management, marketing, or other related degree
- Two (2) years of experience involving program planning and implementation with older adults.
