Build the Skill Registration Session 2 (3/21-4/25)- Spring 2022

Build the Skill (BTS) is a non-credit micro-credential program for undergraduate students to develop in-demand transferable skills that present real value to employers and graduate schools.

This session runs from March 21 through April 25.

Pick one of the three program tracks, Leadership, Collaboration, or Professional Communication and the program will move you through interactive online material on D2L, providing you with opportunities to reflect and apply what you are learning in a current leadership or team role. Then you’ll showcase your experience with a final digital reflection project.

This program is open for any UA student, any major, no previous experience required. We’ve found that students get the most out of the Build the Skill program when they are also involved in something that allows them to practice the skills they are learning such as a job, internship, club/organization, volunteer role, class project, or other activity that requires you to work with other people.

It will take you about 10-15 hours to complete. Build the Skill is entirely online.

After you register, you will be directed to a survey where you can select the track you’d like to complete. Choose from Leadership, Collaboration, or Professional Communication.

When you successfully complete one of the BTS tracks, you will receive a digital badge which serves as visual, transferable proof of this earned micro-credential, which can then be shared on your resume and on social media including LinkedIn, websites, and Handshake.

If you are completing the program for hours as a part of an internship or student employment position, please let us know! You have the responsibility of tracking your own hours spent on the program and sharing the link to your final project with your supervisor/internship instructor.
