Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Management: Oversee all aspects of facilities maintenance, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and groundskeeping.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, conducting regular inspections and implementing necessary measures to uphold a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the facilities budget effectively, prioritizing spending to meet the school’s needs while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Project Management: Coordinate and oversee capital improvement projects, renovations, and new construction initiatives, from conception to completion.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of maintenance staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Associates and or Technical Trades Certified in Facilities Building Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). A BS degree is considered in place of experience.
- Certifications – CFM, PMP, LEED, and OSHA. HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical
- Proven experience in building operations/facilities management, preferably in an educational setting but not required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a can-do positive attitude.
- Knowledge of applicable safety and building codes.
- Experience with Work Order programs and CMMS for task tracking.
- Proficiency in budget management and project oversight.
- Licenses helpful but not required – Electrician – High-Pressure Black Seal – Refrigerant – Plumbing – Grounds/Pesticide Application.
